Fat tissue is removed and injected through small punctures, which do not require sutures and heal quickly. The procedure allows:

• get rid of wrinkles, giving your skin a more youthful and tightened appearance;
• change the shape of the problem area;

• camouflage scars, pits or stretch marks.

Modern technology allows the technique to be used in almost any part of the body. Most often the mammary glands, buttocks and lower legs are subjected to correction, a little less often the anterior abdominal wall and arms from the shoulder joint to the elbow.

Lipofilling refers to aesthetic interventions, i.e., it is performed if the patient wants to change the shape of the body. The list of contraindications is similar to those for other types of plastic interventions. It includes:

• malignant tumors of any localization;
• Blood diseases and conditions in which blood clotting is impaired;
• diabetes mellitus;
• Severe general diseases (heart, vascular, respiratory system, CNS pathology);
• mental disorders;
• skin diseases in the area of intervention;
• Any condition in which the patient's body temperature increases.

In addition, lipofilling is not performed on pregnant and lactating women, or patients under 18 years of age.

PROCEDURE PREPARATION

Preparation for lipofilling begins with a visit to a plastic surgeon. After examining and questioning the patient, he chooses a method of eliminating aesthetic flaws and describes it in detail. Then a number of examinations are prescribed to assess the condition of the body:

• consultations with a therapist and an anesthesiologist;
• ECG;
• Chest X-ray or fluorography;
• urinalysis;
• blood tests (general, biochemical, coagulogram, HIV, hepatitis B and C, syphilis).

If necessary, the list of diagnostic procedures can be expanded.

In order for the adipose tissue to take root better, 3 weeks before surgery you need to give up alcohol, smoking, and any blood thinning medications. If the patient has to take any medications, you should tell the surgeon about it.

HOW THE PROCEDURE IS DONE

The lipofilling procedure consists of three main steps.

Fat tissue sampling. Atraumatic cannulas are used for this procedure, which allow obtaining the necessary amount of material through small punctures. The thighs, buttocks, and anterior abdominal wall can be used as donor areas.

Material preparation. Fat tissue is placed in special tubes and centrifuged to remove impurities.

Fat injection. The prepared filler is injected into the problem areas according to the previously prepared markings.

All manipulations are performed under anesthesia only. No stitches are required.

How quickly does fat dissolve?

Fat tissue, unlike fillers, does not undergo destruction within the tissues. During the first 3 months, it loses no more than 1/5 of its volume, and the remainder remains in its new place for life.

Later on, a repeat lipofilling is allowed if the patient wishes to make the result even more noticeable.

POSTOPERATIVE PERIOD

After lipofilling the patient remains under the supervision of the surgeons for 24 hours. After discharge, he receives lifestyle recommendations for the rehabilitation period. The number of restrictions is small:

• Refrain from physical activity for 4-8 weeks (depending on the extent of the intervention);
• Protect the areas where the filler was injected from direct sunlight;
• Do not go to the bathhouse, sauna, solarium, do not take a hot bath;
• eliminate smoking and alcohol consumption;
• Do not massage or perform any cosmetic procedures without a doctor's prescription.

The rehabilitation period lasts 1-3 months, after which you can objectively assess the result.
