Consultation

Where do I start and how do I sign up for a consultation?

So, doubts are behind you and you've decided to have your appearance corrected in DEGA Clinic of aesthetic medicine. It is clear that you are interested in the answer to the question of where to start in order to bring the day of your own transformation closer.

First of all, you need to make an appointment with a specialist at the clinic. You can do this in one of three ways:

  • Through the administrator by phone +7 812 748 08 08;
  • On the clinic's website through the feedback form;
  • E-mail info@dega-clinic.com
What will the counseling give you?

During the consultation you will get acquainted with the doctor, ask the questions that interest you, discuss the nuances of preparing and carrying out the planned procedure, and come to a clear understanding of the result that you will achieve as a result.

You will receive detailed information about the intricacies of surgery, the recovery period, and the cost and conditions of the operation. You will find out what kind of anesthesia can be used, whether you need to be hospitalized, or whether you will be treated as an outpatient. You will also be able to discuss organizational issues, including costs and payment terms.

Observations

A medical examination is a mandatory step in preparation for surgery. Each patient must first undergo tests, the results of which will be valid for fourteen days. In some cases, in addition to general tests, doctors may prescribe a number of additional examinations and laboratory tests.

For patients who undergo a comprehensive examination in St. Petersburg, we recommend taking tests at the DEGA clinic (the clinic cooperates with the INVITRO laboratory). You can go to any other laboratory. It is important to make sure in advance that the results of the examination will reach the clinic no later than the Wednesday of the week preceding the date of the surgery.

You can send your test results to our clinic in one of two ways:
  • Deliver the originals directly to the clinic;
  • Scan these documents and email them to us at info@dega-clinic.com

If the results of the examination show that surgery is not possible, our specialists will contact you to notify you and determine the next steps.

What tests should I take before plastic surgery under general anesthesia?

If the operation will take place under general anesthesia, it is necessary to pass a set of tests:

  • General clinical blood count, including a platelet count.
  • Examination of clotting time and duration of bleeding.
  • Determination of Rh factor and blood type.
  • General analysis of urine with microscopy.
  • Biochemical blood tests (sugar, total protein, urea, ALT, AST, bilirulin, creatinine).
  • Coaguloramma (aPTV (aPTV), prothrombin, D-dimer, fibrinogen, INR, thrombin time).

In addition, it is necessary to provide fluorography data for the last year, as well as the results of electrocardiogram with a full transcript.

You will also need to be examined for hepatitis B and C, syphilis and HIV, as well as provide an opinion on the absence of contraindications to surgery, which will issue a general practitioner.

What tests are required in preparation for plastic surgery under local anesthesia?

    Complete clinical blood count, including a platelet count.

    Examination of clotting time and duration of bleeding.

    General urinalysis with microsporium.

    Results of the sugar (glucose) examination.

    A certificate with fluorography data for the last year.

    For patients over forty years of age - electrocardiogram with decoding.

Before surgery, before local anesthesia, you must also be tested for hepatitis B and C, syphilis and HIV, as well as provide a general practitioner's report on the absence of contraindications to the impending surgery.

According to the laws of the Russian Federation, the entire preoperative complex of tests must be performed in a Russian medical institution. Tests in a foreign language are not accepted!

Surgical Preparation

You can make an appointment with the surgeon of your choice immediately after the consultation or, if you need time to make a decision, contact the receptionist later. We will find a convenient time for your surgery and we will confirm your appointment the day before.

The DEGA Clinic has a flexible payment system. It is possible to pay a lump sum or make an advance payment of 20,000 rubles. If a patient changes his/her mind about surgery and informs the clinic about it less than ten days before the date of surgery, the clinic reserves the right to withhold the prepayment. A repeat appointment will again require an advance payment, but both amounts will be taken into account in the final calculation.

During the consultation patients are given special leaflets, which tell what tests must be taken and what specialists must be examined before the operation.

You can get the results of the tests:
  • Scan and email us in a single packet to info@dega-clinic.com;
  • Give in person to the clinic through the administrators.

All medical reports must be received by us no later than the Wednesday of the week before your surgery is scheduled. An administrator will contact you with the details. If you have not been contacted, please contact us yourself by 9 p.m. at +7 812 748-08-08

On the eve of the day of surgery, the administrator will contact you again to clarify the time when you will arrive at the clinic. Failure to contact the patient on the appointed day is considered a refusal of the surgery, which results in its cancellation.

Payment for the operation

You can pay the full cost of the surgery directly at the clinic's cash desk or transfer funds to your checking account. We can provide installment payment for the surgery. Also, the clinic has a system of discounts. Detailed information about discounts and promotions can be found in the "Promotions" section and at the administrators.

When you come to the clinic, you need to bring your passport, as well as the original tests, if they were not provided earlier.

Surgery is performed on an empty stomach. The last meal of food and water before surgery should be at least 8 hours before the intervention. You should not chew chewing gum 3 hours before surgery.

Please do not come to the clinic in your own car - after the surgery we do not recommend patients to drive themselves.

Postoperative Period

Any plastic surgery ends with rehabilitation procedures, which can significantly reduce the process of adapting the body to changes, to reduce swelling and get rid of unpleasant or painful sensations that are inevitable after surgery.

Preparing for rehabilitation

On the second or third day after a complex plastic surgery, the plastic surgeon prescribes an optimal recovery program, designed on average for 10-20 days. Rehabilitation includes a number of procedures that are usually every one or two days, although the intensity is always determined individually, depending on the type of surgery and the characteristics of the recovery process of each patient.

Rehabilitation procedures in the DEGA Clinic

The most commonly prescribed procedures that have proven effective during postoperative recovery are as follows:

  • Anti-inflammatory microcurrent lymph drainage aimed at reducing swelling, normalizing the sebaceous glands and improving the overall condition.
  • Pressotherapy, which helps to quickly reduce swelling, increase vitality and speed up the recovery process.
  • Ultraphonophoresis is an ultrasound micro-massage with medications prescribed by the doctor, promoting their more active penetration into the skin, stimulating collagen and cell turnover, intensifying tissue regeneration, and thus reducing swelling.
  • Biorevitalization is an injection therapy to accelerate tissue regeneration, increase skin elasticity, activate metabolic processes and lighten age spots.
  • Endermology is a complex instrumental treatment of tissues in order to reduce swelling, smooth out irregularities, activate metabolism and reduce complications after surgical interventions.
  • Plasmolifting is a rejuvenating and restorative technique that promotes rapid tissue regeneration, increased immunity of the postoperative area, and hair strengthening.
  • Scalp mesotherapy is a skin-improving and hair-nourishing procedure that is most often recommended for complex rejuvenation treatments.
  • Laser fractional rejuvenation is a course of two to four treatments that allows complete renewal of skin cells with the achievement of a dramatic lifting effect, smoothing wrinkles, increasing skin elasticity and achieving a beautiful complexion.

If necessary, the doctor may prescribe other rehabilitation procedures, allowing a quick recovery after plastic surgery, regardless of its complexity.

For discharge we recommend taking clothes that should not be worn over the head, preferably with a zipper or buttons (unbuttoned on the chest)

For Out-Of-Town Patients

Each patient before surgical intervention is sure to undergo a consultation with the selected specialist, during which the scope of surgical intervention is clarified, the cost of surgery is calculated and coordinated, and organizational issues are resolved.
